Cookie & Tracking Notice
This notice explains the browser storage and tracking behavior of the SETI Dex web surface. It does not change the separate permissions used by the native iOS app.
Current cookie position
SETI Dex currently uses browser cookies only where they are necessary for authentication, session security, OAuth state, anti-forgery protection, or another user-requested service function. SETI Dex does not currently use advertising cookies or cross-site advertising trackers.
Essential authentication and security cookies
Signed-in web features may set short-lived or session-bound cookies so SETI Dex can authenticate a request, maintain a signed session, or safely complete an Apple, Google, or connected-service authorization flow. Blocking these cookies can prevent sign-in or connected features from working.
Diagnostics are not advertising
SETI Dex may send privacy-minimized error diagnostics to an error-monitoring provider when diagnostics are enabled. The current product configuration disables default PII, performance tracing, replay capture, and advertising use. Diagnostic processing is described in the Privacy Policy.
Non-essential analytics or marketing cookies
SETI Dex does not currently set non-essential analytics or marketing cookies on its public web surface. If that changes, the product must add the required user choice before those non-essential cookies or similar trackers are activated in jurisdictions that require consent.
Your controls
You can remove or block browser cookies through your browser settings. Removing essential session cookies can sign you out or interrupt an authorization flow. Native iOS permissions are controlled separately through SETI Dex and iOS settings.
Changes
This notice must be reviewed whenever SETI Dex adds analytics, advertising, session-replay, marketing, attribution, embedded third-party content, or another technology that changes browser storage or tracking behavior.
